Brian Rouleau, one of the best joiners I've come across in years, guiding the tusk tenon into another one of his "text book" joints. Brian is always a key player in assuring a frame is cut accurately and efficiently. -Chris Barstow |

I began working with Brian Rouleau seven years ago as an employee in my timber frame shop. From the very beginning his passion for fine joinery and timber frame design were impressive. He is a quick learner who does not sacrifice quality for speed. He is able to interpret engineered drawings and specifications, turn out precision joinery and also meet production timelines. His assistance on site during the raising of the timber frame is invaluable. Brian’s skills today have progressed to where I would consider him to be approaching a ‘master’ framer qualification. He shares his knowledge with other craftsmen in a shop setting as well as on the site assembling and raising the finished timber frame home or barn. He has always developed a fine working relationship with fellow employees and our customers. I have worked with Brian in an employee/employer association and more recently as a sub contractor. As he ventures out on his own I would not hesitate to work with him on future projects or to recommend him to new homebuilders and architects. Brian’s honesty, hard work, and dependability have always been part of our relationship. We both enjoy the revival of and challenge to bring back the craft of timber framing. -John Connolly, President |
